While seemingly easy, if you are unable to walk into an office, this is not always the case. Being far away from your financial advisor means you have to start working around time zones and depend on the clarity of cell phones or Skype apps. While technology is great, it’s not always perfect. In many cases technology is simply an additional barrier between you and your advisor. The more barriers there are, the harder it is to build connection or loyalty with your advisor. With no connection, you can easily become just another number. But if they get to know you, see you, it is so much easier for them to care about you and want to work harder for you.
